It's that time of year again! We are hosting the annual Gingerbread House competition with a virtual twist.

Register for a Take & Make kit, purchase one, or bake your own to decorate and submit your photo to be entered into this year’s Virtual Gingerbread House Competition! 

This year we will have 15 kits available (one per family) for library patrons who would like to participate. Kits must be picked up between December 1st – 3rd. By registering with the Library you are also agreeing to participate in this year’s contest.

This competition is not limited to just the kits provided by the Library- Barrington residents are more than welcome to submit their own gingerbread house creation! There is no size limit this year but don’t forget- all decorations must be edible!

A photo of your completed gingerbread house must be sent by December 11th to circulation@barringtonlibrary.com.  They may include your house's name, but please do not include your family name in your photo - this is a blind-vote competition. Please include names and ages in the email, so we know which category to put it in (names will not be included on the voting page). 

Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

Children (17 and younger)- it is ok if adults supervise and/or help

Adults (ages 18 and older)

Barrington Town Departments

Online voting will take place December 14th – 18th and to cast your vote please use this link. Winners will be announced on Monday, December 21st.
