The Barrington Library Trustees and the Library Foundation are planning a “Library Design Input Session." This will be an interactive event with your input solicited on four topics:

1. Location, and outside space features (e.g., patio, gardens) and exterior design

2. Interior design

3. Sustainability, including energy efficiency and building performance

4. Public meeting spaces, including potential uses of the current library space

Representatives from the library’s design firm, SMP Architecture, will be present to listen to your ideas, along with the trustees and Foundation board members. Our intent is to provide child care to encourage young families to attend. The Friends of the Library will be providing support for the event as well. Please register here by March 20th so that we can arrange appropriate accommodations for participants.

All ideas and perspectives welcome! Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before the 9:00 start time to grab a coffee/tea before the session begins.
