Italian American culture is part of our everyday lives and has contributed to American culture for almost a century and a half. But who are those Italian Americans? What’s their history? We have seen them in movies, mostly as mafia men; what about the women? This talk looks at Italian American culture, the movies it has inspired, and the politics of Italian American-ness.
